The screen becoming obscured or fuzzy is a not so common issue with iPads. In this situation, the screen will be filled with a single color, commonly green, blue, or red.
The green screen problem can be caused due to a simple glitch in the software of your iPad or due a hardware problem. If the green screen is caused due to software glitch, it can be solved easily, but if it is caused due to a hardware failure, then it can be difficult to fix the issue. The things that you can do when confronted with a green screen problems are explained below.
Reboot the Device
This is the first step in troubleshooting. You just need to reboot the device to see if the issue is resolved. Hold down Sleep/Wake button down for a few seconds and release it when the device prompts you to slide a button to power it off. After the device has turned off completely, hold down the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo appearing on the screen. Check if the green screen problem is resolved with the reboot.
Reset to Factory Default
If the reboot does not fix the issue, the nest thing that you need to try is to reset the device to its factory settings. This includes wiping all the data and settings from the device, so it is important to take a back up of the device first. It will be easy for you to restore during the initiation process if you take the backup in iCloud.
The iPad can be reset by going to Settings, selecting General Settings, and choosing the Reset option. If you need to reset to factory default settings, you will need to select Erase All Content and Settings. The device will ask you to confirm the choice before proceeding. It will take a few minutes for the process to complete.
After the reset is finished successfully, the device will walk you through the steps to set it up again. One of the steps is to sign into your iCloud account and restoring the data that you have backed up. After finishing the backup, the device will be like what you had before resetting it.
